We’re delighted and proud to announce that FaceMe has was named a finalist in the prestigious NZ Hi-Tech Awards, in the Coretex Hi-Tech Emerging Company of the Year category.
FaceMe’s Founder and CEO, Danny Tomsett, says reaching this point is a testament to the team of amazing people that have enabled us to become a world leader in the Intelligent Digital Human field.
“We’ve brought together some of the best engineering and product talent across the world that have been super focused on creating digital humans that can solve real-world problems in customer experience.
“We’re very clear on what we’re doing at FaceMe. Digital humans are conversational AIs that bridge the growing gap of emotional connection and customer experience in a digital first world.”
Since 2007, the Hi-Tech Emerging Company of the Year award has unearthed and recognised great companies in the earlier stages of their growth. Previous finalists include other well-known startups Xero and Orion Health.
These 2019 awards have also seen the highest standard of entries in the history of the event, according to the Chair of the Hi-Tech Trust, Jen Rutherford, as published in Stuff.
“This year’s finalists span the full spectrum of the hi-tech sector and the country,” she says.
“For 2019 we have made been very conscious on building on the foundations of last year to ensure even greater diversity across our judging panels and amongst the entrants and finalists.
“It’s awesome to see so many areas of the country represented amongst the finalists with so many ethnic backgrounds and great female-led companies coming through. Our industry is truly in great shape.”
FaceMe will go through another round of judging with fellow finalists Auror, Fergus Software, PredictHQ, Redshield Security and Robotics Plus.
The Hi-Tech Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner at Spark Arena, Auckland, on 24 May. We’ll keep you posted!
